Rainy Day Aerial

It’s not too often we get rain here in California. Or so it seems.

In the midst of filming one of our projects we seized the opportunity to get some aerials of the amazing landscape over Chalk Hill Estate. It was raining quite hard at times but we timed it just right.

We’ve been through a whole gamut of helicopters throughout the years but nothing really compares to our DJI Phantom 2. It’s safe (in the right hands), small and nimble.

Everyone can enjoy a good aerial shot or two, but like anything, too much and it can get old fast. At some point one will get tired of looking at pretty sky shots. Aerials are really used like any other tool in your arsenal. To support the story you’re trying to tell with subtlety.

It wasn’t but a few years ago when shots like this were impossible for small production companies to get. Now with some amazing technology at hand we’re able to grow our toolset and show a different perspective.
