I’ve never met anyone more passionate than Odessa Gunn when it come to things. She doesn’t really dabble in hobbies, in fact I’m not really sure she knows how to have one. What she really does is follow her gut and put one foot in front of the other. With heart. What some people don’t know is she’s a hell of a person to hang out with. If she’s not entertaining us with interpretive dance she’s making sure we’re all fed with organic energy food. Over the past few days we’ve been shooting for her new run of Gunn Collection shirts and in […]

So the other day we got a text from our buddy, former WWE wrestler (Tyler Reks) Gabe Tuft . Basically he told us that he needed a quick set of portraits and that we’re doing it or he’d punch our faces off. While we are resistant to most forms authority, we do choose our battles wisely. My first challenge was calming down our CP team member Tim Terry. Well known for his freestyle cage fighting and lack of fear, was ready to “surprise him from above” once Gabe walked in the door. Having experienced this kind of territorial aggression (mostly […]
I couldn’t sleep the night before my flight to Idaho. What could I say I was as excited as a suburban white kid at a Macklemore concert. Idaho was big on my list of places to visit. It’s got potatoes, mountains, and Rebecca Rush, the Queen of Pain herself. We had to pack light for this trip so that everything we needed could fit in carry on bags for the plane. Just FYI for any other filmmakers out there: 22ft cranes do NOT fit into the overhead bins. And you may or may not be held in custody for 72 […]
The forecast said sunny but we were given mist. With about one and a half hours to shoot and a somewhat empty 100 meters of road we were able to get some good shots.
So what does one do when you get the new studio digs up and running? Grab anyone who walks by and make them do silly things. Our new space is now up and ready for studio madness!
Is it me, or does Levi’s GranFondo keep getting better every year? With that, the volunteer force seems to be stronger still. This year the Culture Pop team was all over it and witnessed it first hand. It’s safe to assume that an event as large as LGF is only as good as it’s volunteers. Whats even more impressive is they all treated it as if it were their own Fondo! Below are some shots of this years volunteers. For more, head on over here.
This was definitely a night to remember! Two days before Levi’s Gran Fondo, Levi hosts an amazing evening serving up some of Sonoma County’s best. The evening raises money for some very worth while causes, namely the Forget Me Not Farm. Levi didn’t come alone this year, some of the best cycling superheroes like Kristin Armstrong, Tom Danielson and Rebecca Rusch followed suit. We even got to see the challenges ensue between Team Levi and Team Fatty for the upcoming donut race. Watch for that on our site, this is gonna be good!
They did it again! The Bike Monkey team pulled off another amazing event at Santa Rosa’s Annadel State Park. The Race started at 9 A.M. sharp in front of Bike Monkey headquarters. Annadel’s trails aren’t for the faint of heart, boasting some of the roughest terrain around. Oh, did I mention this Bike Monkey’d event is the only reason Annadel is still open? Bike Monkey is the second largest donor in the effort to keep the gates open. The park was set to close as of July 1st of this year but the Bike Monkey team and 600+ riders wouldn’t […]
This event is definitely not for the faint of heart! SoNoMas is THE most difficult event that Bike Monkey produces. 34 miles doesn’t sound like a lot but when you add words like “gnarly”, “grueling” and “steep” you’ll think twice. The guys at Bike Monkey recommend some good training before it’s even considered. Levi Leipheimer’s time (2:57’48″) has yet to be beat. He’s certainly proven himself to be more than road worthy. We had a great time hiking around the trails getting some shots of their hard day in the hills! Below is just a handful of the days event. Wanna […]
What do 600+ mountain bikers do for fun? Play in the dirt! Bike Monkey’s Boggs 8 hour is more than a race, it’s an experience. It’s also THE race that started Bike Monkey 7 years ago. Team Daydreamer headed to Boggs Mountain State Forest in Middletown to capture the event and capture it we did! We hiked all along the course to sneak some shots at their best. It boggles me to no end how they orchestrate such an amazing event. You just have to see it to believe it. For more shots head over to our SmugMug site!
