A Spoof So Good, You’ll Need a Towel
“Excessive Dripping” reimagines the typical erectile dysfunction ad. Only this time, it’s about caulk guns. In a parody packed with innuendo and satire, we follow a couple grappling with the embarrassment of ED… until a smiling hardware store guru introduces them to Dripless. From absurd testimonials to a Sam Elliott-style voiceover, it’s comedy that sticks.
ED – Culture Pop DNA
This spot for Dripless was filmed in Northern California with a wink, a nod, and an industrial-size tube of caulk. The script leans heavily into spoof territory, and we embraced the genre. From the overdramatic lighting to the earnestly absurd performances. Everything was shot on-location in a real hardware store and private residence, with Culture Pop Films handling scripting, casting, directing, cinematography, editing, and sound design. The goal: make an infomercial spoof so polished that you could almost believe it’s real… until you’re laughing too hard. And that’s after we dialed it back.
